Celebrity chef Ed Cotton stars in video produced

by Latorra, Paul and McCann

Latorra, Paul & McCann Advertising, an advertising agency in Syracuse, NY, recently produced a video on behalf of the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council starring celebrity chef Ed Cotton.

The four-minute video, “Rethink Pizza” was created to promote pizza as a nutritious, easy-to-make and easy-to-customize lunch item for schools in New York, Northern New Jersey and Northern Pennsylvania. It is currently being shown to school nutrition directors and administrators at ADA&DC-sponsored events and at school food trade shows.

The video was shot at Plein Sud, the New York City restaurant where Cotton is Executive Chef. It shows him preparing different kinds of pizzas, and sharing tips on how to make pizza more appealing and interesting for children. It can be viewed at

Ed Cotton has appeared on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America and was a finalist on the reality television series Top Chef on Bravo. He has a degree from the Culinary Institute of America. The video was produced by Associate Creative Director Andy Collins and Senior Art Director Jerome Natoli at Latorra, Paul & McCann, and directed by Jeff Mead at POV-Rose Video in Rochester, NY.

The video was produced as part of a larger “Rethink Pizza” program developed for the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council by LP&M. The kit includes a number of tools and resources to help school foodservice personnel improve their pizza offerings. The effort was necessitated by recent research showing a decline in school pizza popularity, as well as a desire to make pizza compliant with new, higher nutritional standards.

Latorra, Paul & McCann is an advertising and marketing communications agency serving national and regional clients in the health and nutrition, agri-business, banking, insurance, education and consumer retail industries.
